What does it mean to listen, to pay attention to what and who is around us?

What do the sounds you surround yourself with make you feel? Are they loud? Are they soft? Do you feel calm and happy? Or do you feel bothered and lonely?

Whether it’s the serene silence often experienced these days, or the constant chatter with a full household, hone in on your sense of hearing and simply listen.

Try.

At times, it might be difficult to tune out the chaos around you — begin by being still for a few seconds, recognize what is around you and guide your attention inward.

Silence on the other hand can be both a pleasure and defeaning.

Again, allow yourself to heed to the sound of your breath. This personal and quiet lull is the rhythm of your life, the soundtrack of your journey.

Be attentive.
